Big-cat country, Lake Naivasha boat outings and Lake Nakuru wildlife. A practical western circuit for a first Kenya safari.
Amboseli wetlands and Tsavo’s contrasting landscapes, with time at Diani if you want an Indian Ocean finish.
Samburu’s dry-country wildlife, Laikipia conservancies and Ol Pejeta conservation visits. Build in time for the road north.
Three to four days can work for one park such as Amboseli or the Maasai Mara. Allow roughly seven to ten days if you want several regions without changing accommodation every night. Nairobi day tours suit a city stay or a longer stopover; a Diani beach extension needs additional days. Your arrival and departure times determine how much wildlife time fits.
Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru form a western circuit from Nairobi. Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East form a southeastern route that can continue to the Kenya coast. Samburu and Laikipia / Ol Pejeta suit a northern route. Combining distant circuits may need a longer trip or domestic flights.
Most multi-day safaris display a starting USD rate per person per day and a trip total. Day tours marked “Request a quote” are priced for your date, party size and admission category. Season, room arrangement, traveller ages, residency and private or shared transport can change the final price. Ask for a written quote with the exact inclusions; international flights and optional activities are usually separate.
Yes. Family trips can use shorter game drives, suitable rooms and breaks between activities. Honeymoon routes can combine wildlife with Diani and a more private programme. Share children’s ages at travel, your preferred pace and any room or accessibility requirements in the custom safari planner so our team can check each activity.
The Kenya migration viewing period is commonly around July to October, but the herds follow rainfall and grazing rather than fixed dates. A river crossing is never guaranteed. The Mara also supports resident wildlife, so a safari can focus on big cats, elephant and other species outside the main migration period. We plan the route around your travel dates and current local conditions.
Choose a Nairobi National Park wildlife drive, a Giraffe Centre and pre-booked Sheldrick nursery visit, or a city heritage route with the Kenya National Archives and an optional introduction to matatu culture. Some programmes include the Karen Blixen Museum. Opening hours, nursery confirmation, road traffic and your pickup address determine the final schedule.
